The power to create a business comes from within. It cannot be defeated but will only yield victory. Here comes much awaited blog on STARTUPS & 3D PRINTING. Startup’s definitely have a new trend and there is variety and experiments that can be undertaken.

So GET-SET-START UP !!

We introduce the five startups that uses 3D PRINTING TECHNOLOGY.

Relativity Space

It is a LA based company that aims to create rockets using 3D printing technique. It is giving a tough competition in aerospace industry; considers as one of the promising contender raised 45 million dollars in first 3 years.

It has employees from SPACEX, BLUE ORIGIN & TESLA on board and thus qualitative expertise.

The company wish to create a rocket using 3D printing technology that can go to mars, with reduced complexity and increased reliability of products.

Desktop Metal

Founded in year 2015 the company recognize the need for office friendly metals using 3D printing. It launched the studio in 2017. They also released production system, developed for industrial use. It uses a reinvented binder jetting process, with higher printing speeds. With these big plans, the company is all set to receive from GOOGLE, FORD, BMW for future and present potential.

XACT METAL

Complexity, costs are still a reason why small and medium sides companies remain hesitant to use powder bed metal 3D printing in-house. The company from PENNSYLVANIA, identifies these challenge and encourages researchers & smaller business to use metal PBF technology.

It developed metal 3D printers with price ranging from $90,000 to $175000. It is inexpensive due to reason that it uses less expensive X-Y gantry system instead of expensive galvanometer mirror system.

They with lower price, universities, labs & SMES who need prototyping, tooling and small series production can make use of metal PBF technology.

ROBOZE

It is an ITALIAN 3D printer manufacturers known for its 3D printers abilities to print with high performance materials. The company was founded in 2013 and its desktop 3D printer came into market in 2015. It uses FFF technology with high temperature high viscosity polymers (HVP) extenders. The company will go a long way with the expansion in EMEA & US, it aims to grow business by 500%.

ORIGIN

A revolution in plastic manufacturing was taken by SAN FRANCISCO startup, origin in year 2018 with its platform OPEN ADDITIVE PRODUCTION. It is based on open materials, flexible software & modular hardware. It partnered with worlds largest chemical companies like BASF & HENKEL which accelerates the developments new & better AM materials. The company believes in the policy of guarding secret but it was the news of town that it received 10 million dollars in SERIES A funding (2018) & have plans to release system at RAPID + TCT trade shows.

Hope the information delivered would have broaden your perspective and horizon about 3D printing. It has gain interest since last few years but has been operational since long.

We will come with new blog next week. Till then stay tuned !!
